Event Name
Round 1: SPICEy Circuits
Participants will have to troubleshoot circuits on LTspice to obtain the desired output. 10 faulty circuit files along with the expected waveforms will be given and each circuit will have points allotted to it based on its level of difficulty. The software to be used is LT spice. The expected waveforms can be obtained using transient analysis, AC analysis or DC operating point. Participants will be given 40 minutes to debug and obtain the desired signal and each team can utilize only one computer.
Round 2: Saucy Signals
Participants will have to produce waveforms using MATLAB. The team
which accumulates the number of points wins. 10 signals of varying
difficulty will be given and each signal will have points allotted
to it based on its level of difficulty. The expected signals can be
generated using a sum of sines and cosines. The software to be used
is MATLAB. The participants will be given 40 mins to generate the
given signals and each team can utilize only one computer.
Bonus: Participants get to increase their points by choosing their
area of strength : LT Spice Or MATLAB. This should be decided prior
to the start of the event. A multiplier of 1.5x will be given
